The overall mission of this program is to modernize the IRS legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the overall modernization of the IRS to improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the IRS's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology. We are looking for a Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. They should have a strong understanding of Java language and Java design patterns as well as a strong understanding of configuring Spring Boot applications and extensive experience with writing microservices in a cloud environment.\nResponsibilities:\nWork with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.\nDesign, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications.\nContribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.\nEnsure designs are in compliance with requirements.\nWrite effective APIs and technical documentation.\nWrite well designed, testable, efficient code in line with programming standards and interface specifications.\nTest software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.\nTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.\nPrepare and produce releases of software components.\nSupport continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.\nDebug build, integration test, and deployment issues.\nComplete all tasks within timelines for each sprint.\nIdentify roadblocks and issues during daily scrum call.\nParticipates in scrum activities.\nRequirements:\nBachelor's Degree and 12+ years of overall experience\nUS Citizenship required\nMust possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE\nJava Full Stack Development\nService Oriented Architecture (SOA)\nPostgreSQL\nMicroservices Architecture\nSpring Boot\nExcellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels\nPrior experience working on Agile teams\nDesired Skills:\nExperience working with Spring Boot integration with Kafka is a plus.\nExperience with modernizing existing legacy is a plus\nT-Rex Overview\nEstablished in 1999, T-Rex Solutions, LLC is a proven mid-tier business providing data-centric mission services to the Federal government as it increasingly tries to secure and leverage the power of data.
