What we do matters.We’re hiring an Information Systems Engineer to support and secure test equipment (TE) and engineering lab systems for advanced aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you’ll combine systems administration and cybersecurity to ensure test environments are secure, compliant, and fully operational across Linux, Windows, and networked systems.You’ll work closely with engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams to support test system integration, troubleshooting, and compliance, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving in secure, mission-critical environments.Location: Tucson, AZ (onsite). Relocation Assistance Available.Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; Secret clearance (active or obtainable). Strong Preference for Active Clearance.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support test systems and lab environments (Linux, Windows, networking)Ensure cybersecurity compliance of test equipment using tools like Nessus, Splunk, and IvantiInstall, configure, and maintain software, patches, and system updatesTroubleshoot issues related to connectivity, system performance, and test integritySupport integration of test systems into secure/controlled networksCollaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant system changesMaintain system availability, reliability, and operational readinessSupport flight test and production test environmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field5+ years of experience in systems administration (Linux, Windows, networking)Experience with user account management, software installation, and system supportStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networked systemsActive Secret security clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required)Preferred QualificationsDoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+, CISM, etc.)Experience supporting test systems, lab environments, or operational technology (OT)Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti)Experience working in classified or secure environmentsAbility to lead troubleshooting efforts across complex, multi-system environmentsStrong communication skills and ability to support technical users and engineering teamsThe QDSS Advantage: At QDSS, we focus on purpose-driven work, collaborative teams, and complex challenges that push boundaries and build lasting impact.
