{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f7eb975abd2ac2039f544eeb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f7eb975abd2ac2039f544eeb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f7eb975abd2ac2039f544eeb","title":"Carpenter","description":"CarpenterCarpenters are responsible for a wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.\r\nEssential functions of the job:\r\nPlacing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved\r\nMonitoring the effect heat, wind and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results\r\nRemoving edges on expansion joints and sides\r\nInstalling anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete\r\nPolishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines\r\nAligning and assembling of vertical gang form systems\r\nWaterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces\r\nCasting and spreading concrete to patch voids\r\nCore expectations:\r\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and perform in a fast-paced work environment\r\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently and cost effectively\r\nBehavioral:\r\nGood verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.\r\nKeen attention to detail and a high level of initiative.\r\nQualifications:\r\n1+ years' construction industry experience preferred\r\nHigh School diploma/GED preferred\r\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team.\r\nDemonstrated strong decision making and problem-solving skills\r\nMust be willing to travel and work away from home when required\r\nCompliance with all OSHA and other federal agency regulations\r\nBasic understanding of construction principles and procedures\r\nPhysical requirements and working environment:\r\nIndividuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, include hard hat, safety (hard toe) shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and coveralls.\r\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, climb, balance, twist, pull, push, have hand/finger dexterity and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.\r\nFrequent walking on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in various weather conditions.\r\nVision abilities (with or without correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.\r\nSensory ability to talk, hear, smell, touch and feel.\r\nAble to work in all weather conditions including, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, etc.\r\nMust be able to exert up to 10-20 lbs. constantly to move objects;
