The Opportunity The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring every aspect of patient care is handled with precision and empathy. In this role, you will leverage your experience to perform a wide range of tasks, including surgical assistance, scribing, preparing for physical examinations, overseeing inventory, and serving as a key point of contact between patients and the medical team. What you will Achieve Leverage Medical Assistant Experience: Utilize your minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Dermatology Medical Assistant (Mohs surgery experience a plus) to efficiently perform all back-office tasks including surgical assistance, scribing, and preparing for physician examinations, ensuring a seamless flow of patient care. Maintain Surgical Readiness: Prepare and maintain surgical follow-up visit trays, clean instruments, and ensure patient rooms are ready before and after care. Provide Exceptional Patient Care: Attend to patient needs with empathy and professionalism, addressing pain relief, medication, and wound care concerns both in-office and over the phone. Organize and Document Efficiently: Maintain meticulous records, including biopsy, culture, and excision specimens, and ensure accurate and organized charting and documentation. Support Team Communication: Proactively keep doctors informed of patient care and practice issues, using clear and concise communication via phone, text, and email. Manage Supplies and Inventory: Oversee the ordering and management of medical and office supplies, ensuring the clinic is always well-stocked and prepared. Foster a Positive Patient Experience: Create and distribute patient experience packages, serve amenities, and ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.
