Assistant Manager, Global Indirect Procurement

DescriptionThe role is responsible for contributing to various Indirect Procurement objectives in order to realize maximum benefit to the business. This position will work with various stakeholders and cross⁃functional teams across Brands and/or Regions on spend management initiatives. This position will implement category⁃specific strategies, drive strategic sourcing activities, and build supplier relationship management programs for various categories of indirect spend.Additionally, the role will work directly on the identification, tracking and management of savings/value across regions or globally. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional and team player, with demonstrated successful experience in Procurement, preferably in indirect categories of goods and services.Leverage data analytics to track, analyze, and report global Advertising & Promotions spend, savings, and pipeline performance, providing actionable insights to support sourcing decisions, budget planning, and executive reportingRealizes maximum benefit to the business by implementing category⁃specific supply strategies, ensuring that products are specified and optimized with the best supplier input and capabilities and using all demand⁃sided opportunities with selected suppliersDevelops category strategies on a global, regional or local level in close alignment with stakeholders, including demand related approachesPlans and leads sourcing projects on a global, regional, local and/or multi⁃site level, engaging stakeholders and the required cross⁃functional resourcesLead contract discussions with legal, implement contracts and capture them in the systemIdentifies any challenges to efficient flow of materials and services and recommends operational improvements and/or develops tools to drive efficienciesDevelops, leads and implements local/regional/global supplier relationship programs in close alignment with stakeholdersActively drives compliance of the category strategies and sourcing projects with the ELC Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and local Procurement SOPs as well as legal and regulatory requirementsContributes maximum value to the business through better strategizing, structuring and organizing the supply of the assigned categories, including selecting the "right" supplier baseEvaluates and defines the supplier base and secures capacity, plan implementation (timeline, resources, cost, ...) and align stakeholdersDrives execution of and compliance with the agreed category strategiesSupports regional and/or local sourcing projects related to the assigned categories by giving guidance, providing methodologies and sharing any other relevant expertiseContinuously monitors external market conditions and understands their potential impacts on supplier pricing or service levelsPlans and conduct suppliers business reviews including KPI and metrics reportingParticipates in special projects as requestedBuilds capabilities of other team membersQualificationsMicrosoft Office, SAP Suite ApplicationsStrong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAdvanced Degree highly preferredProfessional Procurement Certification preferredPrevious work experience in a Procurement⁃related field strongly preferred4+ Years Minimum Experience5% Travel
