We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist with at least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience to support a new embedded client site. This full-time position will require the phlebotomist to work across 3 locations, with 2 days at one site, 2 days at a second site, and 1 day at a third site. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple locations and adapting to the needs of different clinic environments.\n\nPay: Starting at $19 per hour, with flexibility based on experience\n\nSchedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday (days and hours at each location will be determined by clinic hours)\n\nBenefits:\n\nMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\nPaid Time Off\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\nIn this role, you will be responsible for:\nAdministrative duties: Providing excellent customer service to patients and families, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.\nTechnical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening, with a focus on pediatric patients.\nAccurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.\nSpecimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.\nCompliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance activities.\nFlexibility: Supporting clinic operations and assisting with coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow.\n\nReliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.\n\nEducation & Certification:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n\nExperience:\nAt least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience required\nExperience working in a clinical laboratory, physician office, hospital, or other healthcare setting preferred\nExperience working with a variety of patient populations preferred\n\nLicensing & Driving Requirements\n\nValid, unrestricted driver's license\nClean driving record\nSkills & Competencies:\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with pediatric patients and their families\nDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy\nHighly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nLaboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.\nHigh level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.\nRegular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).\nAbility to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.\nFrequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.\nFlexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.\n\nOSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.\n\nAbout Us: Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
