Our co-founders have been recognized on Forbes' 30 Under 30 for Manufacturing and Industry, and Fast Company named us one of the most innovative augmented and virtual reality companies of 2026.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe're hiring an IT & Security Ops Manager to own the systems, tools, and infrastructure that keep every Squinter productive — and secure.\nSitting within our Finance & Operations team, you'll be the person who makes sure new hires get set up on day one, our tools and vendors are managed well, and our basic security hygiene is solid — all without slowing anyone down. You'll also be a key partner in our SOC 2 and compliance efforts, keeping our controls audit-ready.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn our internal systems: You'll manage the SaaS tools, devices, and access that Squinters use every day — provisioning, deprovisioning, and everything in between.\nRun IT for onboarding and offboarding: You'll make sure every new hire has what they need on day one, and that access is cleanly removed when someone leaves.\nManage vendors and procurement: You'll own relationships with our software and hardware vendors — selection, contracting, renewals, and spend tracking.\nKeep the basics tight: You'll own foundational security hygiene (access management, device policies, SSO) in partnership with Engineering.\nSupport compliance and audits: You'll help maintain our SOC 2 controls and other compliance requirements — pulling evidence, keeping access reviews and device policies audit-ready, and working with Finance/Legal and auditors during review cycles.\nBe the go-to for IT issues: When something breaks, you're the first call — and you're building the tooling and runbooks so fewer things break in the first place.\n\nAbout you\nYou're the person people go to when something technical breaks and needs fixing now.\nYou're organized and process-minded, but not bureaucratic about it.\nYou care about security fundamentals without needing to be a full-time security engineer.\nYou're comfortable working within a compliance framework (SOC 2 or similar) without treating it as a checkbox exercise.\nYou're comfortable being a department of one, and building support systems from scratch.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n5-8+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar role, ideally at a startup.\nExperience managing SaaS tooling, device fleets, and vendor relationships.\nWorking knowledge of core security practices (SSO, access management, device management); experience supporting SOC 2 or similar compliance programs is a plus.\nStrong organizational skills and a bias toward clear documentation.\n\nBenefits\nBased out of our office in San Francisco, we love the energy of in-person collaboration.\nCompetitive Salary and Equity\nComprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental care\nFlexible PTO Policy\nLunch and Dinner Service\nWellness Benefit\nMaven Family Planning Benefits\nPartnership with Care.com\nMental Health Services\n401(k) Retirement Plan\nPre-Tax Commuter Benefit for Parking & Public Transit\nCompany-wide Retreats\n\nA Final Note\nWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
