We give our people real-time data to make faster, smarter decisions.\n\nLocation\nThis opportunity is based out of the Boise, ID, area.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver data engineering solutions that are efficient and scalable and meet the needs of our various stake holders.\nLead, mentor and develop a highly talented technical team of analysts, consultants, and data engineers.\nDesign and develop using Python, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT.\nAct as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor for stakeholders both within KDS and beyond.\nOversee the specification, development, and implementation of new or redesigned processes, reports, and policies and procedures for internal use. Translate requirements into effective and impactful solutions that enable information sharing across the enterprise.\nManage code repositories, work with IT to get any new required infrastructure setup. Get a deep understanding of Kiewit’s data platform.\nAbility to take on technical tasks as well as mentor team members.\nStay current with new technologies and platforms.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent\n5+ years of demonstrated experience using Python, Informatica, Azure Data Factory.\nExperience with Azure platform, Azure Functions and REST api services.\n5+ years’ writing ANSI SQL on Microsoft SQL server (both on prem and azure) and Snowflake.\nStrong track record of successfully executing complex projects and/or projects involving multiple disciplines.\nExperience collaborating with senior managers to understand drivers of success and departmental goals.\nStrong customer management skills; ability to manage more than one client.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written)\nProven ability to self-direct work efforts and lead others\nStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills\nTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives\nStrong organization, time management, and attention to detail\nOther Requirements:\nRegular, reliable attendance\nWork productively and meet deadlines timely\nCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.\nPerform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.\nWork during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
