Thriving for decades in the birthplace of the American sewing industry since 1955, we have offered various services including production for the garment industry, product development, warehousing, and distribution.\nWe are looking for a Maintenance Associate with maintenance experience who will report to the Facilities Manager to assist in maintaining the company’s grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance, repair, and replacements, general carpentry, routine plumbing, electrical, floor repair, window repair, painting, etc.\nProvide back-up to the Maintenance Manager\nPerform a variety of maintenance duties including assisting in the inspection of equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.\nProvides support for snow removal and weather related safety work.\nWill be assigned tasks which require the ability to identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment in a safe and timely manner.\nDuties also include support to manufacturing and warehouse .\nAssist in monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, restrooms, eating areas, parking lots and outdoor spaces.\nAssist manager in the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards\nMaintain, repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot equipment\nPerform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, etc. as needed.\nRead blueprints, diagrams, and/or machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation.\nFollow all safety guidelines and procedures.\nOccasional on-call is required during after hours including weekends.\nNote: This list of responsibilities is a representative summary.\nRequirements:\nExperience making minor repairs in electrical, plumbing and HVAC and keeping grounds clean of debris.\nExperience in effectively handling light repair needs in large and small buildings\nExperience in using a variety of hand and power tools.\nAbility to evaluate basic malfunctioning equipment\nExperience using diagrams, operations manuals, other written instructions and/or own judgment in obtaining required results\nAble to provide assistance in lifting and moving materials and equipment.
