This project aims to build a Philosophy course to meet current academic standards and best practices in philosophical reasoning, argumentation, and analytical writing. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid hourly at $7.50/hour.\nProject Description\nYou will validate a new college-level course structure and materials for a Philosophy course. This is expected to include tasks such as (but not limited to):\nEvaluating and adjusting recommended updates to existing course structure\nReviewing course learning outcomes and competencies for accuracy and alignment with philosophy and critical thinking standards\nEditing skill-oriented course sections (e.g., logical reasoning, argument analysis, ethical inquiry) and ensuring proper organization\nReviewing and refining analytical essay prompts, response assignments, and rubrics\nEvaluating existing multiple choice questions for quality, accuracy, and alignment with course objectives\nEnsuring content reflects current approaches to philosophical reasoning and academic argumentation\nRequired Skills:\nFamiliarity with applied ethics, epistemology, or rhetoric as they relate to critical thinking pedagogy\nExperience developing writing-intensive or discussion-based courses at the introductory college level\nKnowledge of current trends in critical thinking education, including media literacy and information evaluation\nStrong time management skills to meet project due dates\nReceptiveness to feedback and willingness to revise submitted work as needed\nAbility to collaborate with curriculum designers to create high-quality, intellectually rigorous course deliverables\nEducation Level Required\nMaster's degree or higher in Philosophy\nYears of Experience Needed\n2+ years of experience teaching critical thinking, logic, or philosophy courses in a college or university setting\nWhat We Offer:\nReliable Payments: You'll receive payments twice a month and automated invoicing for your work.\nRemote Work: This is a fully online contracted work-from-home opportunity.\nFlexibility: Basically, there are no requirements!
