Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilledElectrical Design Engineerto support the design and development of advanced electrical systems for mission-critical facilities such as data centers and telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves working on AC/DC power distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, switchgear, and building management systems (BMS). Key Responsibilities: Lead electrical engineering activities from pre-sales through commissioning Design AC/DC power distribution systems, UPS systems, and standby generator configurations Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical integration drawings Design switchgear configurations and automated transfer schemes using PLCs/relays Perform load analysis and sizing of generators based on various load types Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, architectural, and construction teams Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning Review electrical submittals and ensure compliance with codes and standards Work with vendors to specify equipment such as UPS, switchgear, and DC systems Ensure adherence to NEC and other regulatory requirements Provide technical support during construction and integration phases Travel to project sites for audits, validation, and system startup Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) 4+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering Strong knowledge of low-voltage switchgear and power distribution systems Experience with UPS systems, generators, and BMS integration xywuqvp Proficiency inAutoCAD and Revit Familiarity withModbus, TCP/IP, RS-485, and Ethernet communication protocols Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Working knowledge ofNational Electrical Code (NEC) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure projects Professional Engineering (PE) License (nice to have) Experience with power system studies and electrical calculations
