These functions are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.\n\nCreate a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn\n\nAssist in the daily operations of all classrooms as a substitute teacher ensuring rituals, routines and schedules are followed\n\nBuild and maintain professional relationships with peers, families, volunteers and community partners to encourage collaboration, reflection, family engagement, and high quality teaching practices\n\nComplete teacher’s responsibilities in the absence of classroom staff\n\nAssist with required documentation including, but not limited to: monthly reports, attendance, meal count, family contact logs and child injury reports as needed\n\nPerform other duties as assigned or required to assist with maintaining high standards in the school\n\nWork requires bending, stooping, lifting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, stretching, pushing and pulling throughout the day and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds\n\nKnowledge and Skills\n\nInfant, toddler and preschool development\n\nAdapting to constant change (classrooms, teachers, daily schedules and routines) while being positive, supportive and helpful\n\nFollowing oral and written instructions with ability to read, interpret, and present information\n\nAccurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines\n\nTaking initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure\n\nMust be driven to follow Tulsa Educare’s Shared Values: Kindness, Reciprocity, Positive Problem Solving, Inclusiveness, Data-driven Decision Making, and Courage.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nMust have high‑school diploma or GED\n\nPrevious experience working in an accredited child care facility with children birth to five years of age\n\nOther\n\nClassroom position with some local travel (exposure to normal traffic hazards).
