Role Description This is a volunteer, on-site role in Baltimore, MD, for a Member of the Board of Directors. Board Members provide governance, strategic direction, and support to ensure the organization fulfills its mission. Responsibilities include participating in board meetings, providing oversight for financial management and organizational policies, contributing to fundraising efforts, and serving as an advocate for the organization in the community. Members are expected to actively engage in discussions and decisions to help drive the growth and success of the organization. Qualifications Leadership and strategic planning skills, with a strong ability to influence and guide organizational direction.Experience in nonprofit governance, community outreach, or program development.Fundraising, grant writing, or donor relations skills to support financial stability and growth.Proficiency in financial oversight and understanding of budgeting processes.Commitment to the organization's mission of promoting music education for all learners, with a passion for community engagement and inclusivity.Strong communication, networking, and collaboration skills.Prior board experience or familiarity with nonprofit management is a plus.
