These assemblies vary in size from small to relatively large or heavy subassemblies. Responsibilities include up to and are not limited to:\nFitting, aligning, calibrating and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements\nAssemble parts and components to produce finished assemblies\nRepairing units, structures and products that fail to meet requirements\nCheck and adjust accuracy using dial gauges, test bars and other equipment\nUse grinding machines as necessary during assembly\nEnsure the quality and delivery of assembly processes\nFollow assembly manuals and check sheets to ensure proper steps are taken during assembly\nWork as a team member, reporting to a Leader on assembly status\nCommunicate clearly and effectively\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nCan adjust to changes that occur during production\nClean/wipe down machines after certain steps in production\nAbility to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions\nOther duties as assigned\nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n0-5 years of relevant work experience\nAbility to assemble sheet metal covers, plumbing, motion components, cast structures\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nAbility to safely operate an overhead crane\nFundamental computer operation skills\nPreferred requirement – certified operate a forklift\nWork Environment:\nClimate controlled manufacturing environment (assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing. Exposure to possible hazards may include noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements\nPeriodic: operating power equipment, and utilizing a computer\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
