This role involves designing mechanical systems, managing automated machine installation project timelines and budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial environments and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles applied to manufacturing, automation and steel fabrication processes.\nPosition Overview:\nProject Planning & Execution: Lead the design, budgeting, and implementation of capital projects involving mechanical systems in steel fabrication plants.\nEquipment Specification & Procurement: Identify and specify mechanical equipment and systems required for fabrication and erection processes.\nProcess Improvement: Analyze current operations and recommend changes to improve productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality. Mechanical design and overseeing the building of custom solutions is required.\nTechnical Documentation: Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.\nVendor Coordination: Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical components.\nCompliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical designs and installations comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with fabrication, erection, quality, and safety teams to align project goals and execution.\nBudget & Timeline Management: Monitor project costs and schedules to ensure alignment with capital expenditure plans.\nWork Experience:\n3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication industrial environment.\nShop floor and/or job site experience required.\nEducation/Training:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, construction engineering, or a related field.\nSoftware & Technology:\nProficient in 2D & 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.\nWork Environment:\nThis position requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.\nThis position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions and may require occasional evening and weekends.\nReasonable accommodations will be made upon request for those who have disabilities that qualify under the American with Disabilities Act.\nDBM Global, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
