The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.\n\nThe ideal candidate will support the Program Manager in meeting established program targets and deliverables and successfully completing program objectives. Programs can typically consist of a number of products, special projects, parts, and customer engineering centers, global product development locations and different technology suites.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nMay interact with the customer on specific program-related information concerning Manufacturing, Design and Quality\nCommunicate to and coordinate with Manufacturing customer specific requirements\nMaintain a working knowledge of customer carlines, Yazaki-supplied parts and Manufacturing / Quality processes\nCoordinate YPMS task list with the program team\nImplement and support continuous improvement activities\nSupport long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities\nSupport other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assigned\nMay support the Program Manager in the following activities\nLaunch Readiness / Process Sign Off (PSO)\nEnsure all tasks are performed for launch readiness and PSO\nCoordinate all customer visits to the manufacturing facilities\nAssist in supplying requirements to Manufacturing\nApprove all resolutions to the follow-up issues that are presented to the customer\nCustomer Contact\nCoordinate and lead for all customer-critical issues while individual departments handle day to day issues\nReview program metrics and satisfaction levels recurrently with the customer\nProgram Scope\nCoordinate, lead, and initiate the approval of program scope changes\nReport the management of activities to executive management\nScheduling and Tracking\nCoordinate, lead, and approve the program schedule and tracking process to ensure the program meets the scope and customer requirements, to meet overall program metrics\nReview program timing and progress toward achievement of targets and goals\nCoordinate and lead the critical build phases, while approving support activities to ensure successful delivery of the program\nPrepare regular reports for presentation to executive management, which address program progress status\nMeeting Minutes\nSchedule program coordination meetings regularly\nLead the cross-functional program coordination meeting\nReview the meeting minutes to ensure timely completion of all tasks\n“Prime” the meeting minutes/open issues/corrective actions system by entering initial program information into the system.\nOpen Issues\nReview and assign newly entered open issues\nUpdate issues in central tracking system\nReview issue statuses between program meetings\nApprove all closed issues\nClassify and archive closed and approved issues for continuous improvement\nReview open issues database for continuous improvement\nAddress any scope, schedule, and budget changes to the program brought on by open issues\nEngineering Change: Review and coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and eventual Process Change Request (PCR) and communicate and coordinate changes with the customer, affiliate and team members.\n\nWhat you will bring to the table:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related field; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n2 years of experience in Program Management or related Automotive training\n4 years of experience in Program Management or related Automotive training preferred\nAbility to travel both domestically and internationally\nAbility to be on call as required\n\nWhat we can provide you:\nA collaborative learning environment that will help you reach your maximum potential\nA diverse team of experts\nSupportive leadership and team members to help you do your best work\nOpportunities to build your professional network\nAn engaging and supportive work culture\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package including incentive compensation, 401K match, tuition assistance and a generous holiday schedule\nHybrid work schedule\n\nYazaki North America is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, disability, handicap, veteran status, or other legally protected status or characteristic.
