This role requires a current NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification and demonstrated experience in lifting, rigging, and material handling operations in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.\r\nMinimum Qualifications:\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\r\nValid driver's license\r\nValid NCCCO Certification in applicable crane types (Carry Deck and Swing Crane).\r\nMinimum 23 years of crane operating experience in an industrial or construction environment.\r\nThorough knowledge of load charts, rigging practices, and crane setup procedures.\r\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, lift plans, and site layouts.\r\nStrong communication skills and ability to follow direction from site supervision.\r\nProven commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced work environment.\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nCertification in heavy equipment operation\r\nExperience working on construction sites\r\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints\r\nResponsibilities:\r\nOperate carry deck cranes and swing cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and other loads safely and efficiently.\r\nPerform daily pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.\r\nVerify that rigging and lifting gear are properly selected, inspected, and used according to load requirements.\r\nCollaborate with riggers, signalpersons, and site supervisors to ensure safe crane operations within load limits and job site constraints.\r\nSet up cranes and ensure stability through proper outrigger and boom configurations per manufacturer specifications.\r\nInterpret and follow load charts, lift plans, and hand signals.\r\nMaintain accurate and timely equipment logs, inspection records, and lift documentation.\r\nEnsure compliance with all company, OSHA, and NCCCO safety requirements and site-specific policies.\r\nAssist with general site duties as needed, including equipment mobilization, maintenance support, and material handling.\r\nParticipate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.\r\nSkills:\r\nAs an Equipment Operator, you will need to have strong hand-eye coordination and be able to operate heavy machinery with precision. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment. Attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols are essential.
