Energy Survey Drafter 2Position Purpose:The survey drafter is responsible for working with Surveyors to develop 2D and 3D drawings as well as other documents (including but not limited to AutoCAD & Civil 3D) for client projects.Essential Functions:Create drawings for survey related projectsObtain and assemble data to complete survey drawingsDraw topographical mapsPrepare easement drawings and legal descriptionsDraw land title surveys to meet ALTA/NSPS standard detail requirementsConvert drawing formats to be compatible with engineering and client requirementsRead and understand deeds and related legal documentsCreate and store drawings electronicallyIndependently research project specific informationDetermine procedures and instructions to be followed according to survey specificationsObserve, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sourcesOperate computer-aided drafting equipment to produce working drawingsManages billable time to hit target utilizationRequired Traits & Characteristics:Good communication and writing skillsHighly motivated and team orientedAbility to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with othersAbility to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish workKnowledge of standard Drafting conceptsPossesses leadership and mentorship skillsHas strong organizational skillsOrganizational Relationships:Reports directly to Lead DrafterModels behavior conducive of cohesive teamsCommunicates & works effectively with a variety of personalities/strengthsKnowledge of Gallup strengths (self & team)Lends advice and knowledge to fellow team membersRequired Education/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentProficient in Civil 3D, Carlson drafting and detailingAdvanced AutoCAD skillsPrior experience in survey draftingPreferred Education/Experience:Associates DegreeTravel: Travel between offices for collaboration with team members and for project meetings will be required About WightmanLet’s face it: no matter your career trajectory – whether you’re just starting out, currently in a mid-level position, or are looking to accelerate your career opportunities – you want to work for a firm that does great work, gives back to their community, supports your career path, and do it all alongside people with whom you can connect.
