Responsibilities include up to and not limited to:\r\nPerform application engineering work independently and set priorities with knowledge of company goals.\r\nDesign and fabricate fixtures/work holding for demo's, test cuts, and turnkeys.\r\nDefine and troubleshoot complex manufacturing/machining processes.\r\nConduct time estimates for customer parts with 10% tolerance.\r\nUse CAPPS conversational programming, industry standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/ Macro programming to generate CNC programs for parts processing.\r\nSetup CNC machines with program, tooling, workpiece, and fixtures including Mill-Turn and 5-Axis.\r\nInspection of finished parts for quality and accuracy.\r\nGenerate engineering proposals for process and turnkey applications.\r\nGenerate engineering reports and technical documentation.\r\nSetup and program a CMM (coordinate measuring machine).\r\nGenerate order intake actively consulting customers on their technical needs together with ASM.\r\nTrain customers on equipment after installation.\r\nFrequent communication with internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers.\r\nBS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred, and/or machining knowledge.\r\n4 - 10+ years related experience.\r\nMill-Turn experience is required, and robotics experience would be a plus.\r\nKnowledge in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup.\r\nBasic understanding of Metallurgy.\r\nAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.\r\nProven experience to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.\r\nProven flexibility with shifting priorities.\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.\r\nProven organizational skills, with high attention to detail.\r\nMust be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime with advance notice.\r\nStrong analytical/problem solving abilities.\r\nFrequent communication with internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers.\r\nExposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. General office environment experienced at DMG MORI office.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nFrequent: Travel, operating a vehicle, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, sitting and reaching. Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects.
