Partner with specialist engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features.\r\nLocation: This is a Globally remote role\r\nWhat your day will look like\r\nDesign and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms.\r\nPartner to deliver a delightful, optimised Ubuntu experience on partner platforms.\r\nTake a holistic view of the Ubuntu experience with technical plans, testing strategy, and quality metrics.\r\nAct as technical lead on complex customer engagements spanning cloud to edge.\r\nHelp customers integrate apps, SDKs, build device OS images, and optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.\r\nWork with cutting-edge OS and application technologies in the enterprise.\r\nWhat we are looking for in you\r\nLoves technology and collaboration.\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar.\r\nExperience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).\r\nExperience with open source communities and licences.\r\nExperience in C / C++.\r\nSelf-disciplined and self-motivated in a globally distributed team.\r\nAdditional skills that you might also bring\r\nGraphics stack experience.\r\nGood understanding of networking – TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP/REST.\r\nBasic security best practices in IoT or server environments.\r\nGood communication, preferably public speaking.\r\nEmbedded/IoT experience – board/SOC, BMC, bootloaders, firmware, OS, services.\r\nExperience with Docker/OCI containers and Kubernetes.\r\nWhat we offer you\r\nCompetitive base pay plus annual bonuses and incentives, reviews and benefits.
