This role is highly focused on recreating, adapting, and operationalizing motion graphic templates for customer use within the Arbor platform.\nYou will work closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Design to help onboard new customers who bring their own existing motion graphics templates - often delivered as MOGRTs or After Effects files - and translate them into reusable, scalable formats compatible with Arbor’s workflows (including Creatomate).\nThis role is ideal for a motion designer who enjoys technical problem-solving, understands how complex templates are built, and can thoughtfully recreate motion systems rather than simply exporting final renders.\nYou will collaborate closely with the Customer Success, Product and Engineering, and Design teams to create high-quality motion graphics that elevate our customers’ content and enhance the Arbor product experience.\nRequirements\n2+ years of professional experience in motion graphics or animation.\nAdvanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects (required).\nExperience working with MOGRTs, reusable templates, or modular motion systems.\nExperience creating motion graphics for marketing, social media, or product use cases.\nStrong understanding of animation principles, timing, typography, and visual hierarchy.\nAbility to analyze existing motion graphics and accurately recreate them from reference.\nComfort working with technical constraints and collaborating with product and engineering teams.\nPortfolio demonstrating motion graphics work (required).\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote, fast-paced environment.\nExperience working with SaaS or technology products.\nFamiliarity with video templates or scalable design systems.\nExperience using AI-powered creative and design tools.\nResponsibilities\nAssist the Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams by creating custom motion graphics for new and existing customers.\nRecreate customer-provided motion graphics templates (often delivered as MOGRTs) directly in After Effects, ensuring fidelity to the original design and animation.\nAnalyze and reverse-engineer complex motion graphics to understand how they function and how they can be rebuilt for Arbor’s platform.\nAdapt templates for use within Creatomate and Arbor’s video generation workflows.\nDesign and configure intuitive controls and parameters so customers can easily customize templates.\nWork with Customer Success and Product teams to determine when templates can be recreated versus when assets should be exported as rendered graphics for upload.\nSupport the ongoing build and maintenance of Arbor’s scalable motion graphics template library.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure motion assets meet product, performance, and brand standards.\nIterate quickly based on internal feedback and customer requirements.\nEnsure all motion assets align with Arbor’s brand guidelines and visual standards.\nPerks and Benefits:\nFully remote team and engaging remote environment\nWork Details:\n100% remote\n5-25 hours per week can fluctuate depending on available projects from week-to-week.\n$15-25/hr\nInterview Process\nCandidates can expect:\n3-4 interviews with team members across Product and Design.\nA sample assignment where candidates will be asked to recreate 1-2 motion graphics in After Effects based on provided examples.\n2-3 Reference Checks\nPay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour\nBenefits:\nFlexible schedule\nApplication Question(s):\nTell us about a time you had to recreate or reverse-engineer an existing motion graphic from a reference, MOGRT, or After Effects file.\nAre you able to maintain regular working overlap with Eastern Time business hours?\nThis is a fully remote, hourly contract role with workload fluctuating week to week, typically around 5–25 hours per week.
