Strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPsec, VRF). Solid understanding of MPLS, DMVPN, and SD-WAN technologies. Proficiency with routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers. High-level architectural and operational experience supporting complex networks. Experience facilitating network requirements sessions. Experience with network monitoring and management tools. Ability to create and update network diagrams (Visio). Previous experience supporting federal networks is a plus. Experience producing design documentation, diagrams, and engineering artifacts. Must be resourceful and able to learn a large, complex and evolving network.
