This role works closely with the Design Engineering team to support new product development (NPI), design iterations, and continuous improvement of existing products.\nIn addition to writing and optimizing CNC programs, this position will set up, run, and validate prototype parts, transition programs into production, and support manufacturing efficiency, quality, and innovation.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\n(Other duties may be assigned)\nProgramming & Machining\nProgramming & Machining\n﻿﻿Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam Program 4- and 5-Axis CNC milling machines\n﻿﻿Translate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings into effective CAM programs\n﻿﻿Determine machining strategy, sequence of operations, tooling, and fixturing\n﻿﻿Write efficient, repeatable programs that minimize cycle time, scrap, and quality issues\n﻿﻿Generate setup sheets, tooling lists, and cutter documentation\nEnsure programs are verified and capable of unattended operation where applicable\nPrototype & New Product Development\n﻿﻿Program, set up, and run prototype parts for new and existing products\n﻿﻿Collaborate closely with Design Engineering on:\n﻿﻿New product introductions (NPI)\n﻿﻿Design for manufacturability (DFM)\n﻿﻿Design changes, improvements, and iterations\n﻿﻿Provide machining feedback to engineering to improve part design, cost, and manufacturability\n﻿﻿Support rapid prototyping, testing, and validation cycles\n﻿﻿Assist with transitioning prototype programs into stable, repeatable production processes\nProduction & Continuous Improvement\n﻿﻿Review, troubleshoot, and refine programs during setup and production runs\n﻿﻿Assist CNC operators with setup understanding, process clarification, and troubleshooting\n﻿﻿Oversee first-article runs and ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met\n﻿﻿Choose appropriate cutting tools and machining methods for each application\n﻿﻿Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and cost reduction\n﻿﻿Meet production schedules and manufacturing requirements\nCommunication & Collaboration\n﻿﻿Work closely with engineers, machinists, and leadership to support manufacturing goals\n﻿﻿Ensure operators fully understand setup, tooling, and process intent\n﻿﻿Communicate clearly and professionally across departments\n﻿﻿Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements\nRequired Qualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements.
