You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver pragmatic, technically sound solutions across the full product lifecycle, from new product development to sustaining. We are looking for someone with a strong fundamental background who can apply their mechanical engineering expertise in creative and impactful ways.\n\nThe successful candidate must be a dynamic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual who can quickly become a contributor to a multi-disciplined development team. Design activities will include fast-paced resolution to problems in a production and aftermarket environment. This position will require some direct contact with customers to help derive requirements and solve problems they encounter.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nParticipate in and lead cross functional teams to create, release and support state of the art products.\n\nManage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.\n\nOversee and participate in product validation and qualification testing.\n\nManage the design of electromechanical systems to meet customer requirements.\n\nPartner with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues.\n\nAnalyze, optimize, build, test and refine new product and sustaining solutions to meet functional, cost, reliability, and manufacturability goals.\n\nApply your expertise in prototyping, manufacturing processes, materials, post-processes, coatings & finishes.\n\nCreate and modify 3D models, component drawings and assembly drawings using PTC CREO and Windchill\n\nConduct failure analysis to determine root cause and correct issues.\n\nManage documentation and maintain configuration control and export compliance in a PLM system.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship for other engineers.\n\nPreferred Education & Experience:\n\nBachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering or related degree.\n\n8 years of experience minimum with electronics packaging.\n\nExperience or interest in Optical Engineering and Lighting preferred.\n\nExperience with 3D CAD modeling software, PTC WF4 or CREO is preferred.\n\nExperience within a manufacturing environment, dealing with aerospace or in a highly regulated industry desired.\n\nExperience with DO160 or similar preferred.\n\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\n\nSalary Range:\nPlease note the typical hiring range is $127,500 - $172,500 yearly.
