This role manages design schedules, BIM standards, and document control while ensuring alignment between internal teams, Architects/Engineers of Record, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.\nThe Design Manager plays a critical role in maintaining design quality, consistency, and efficiency, while supporting project teams and driving collaboration across disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign Management & Scheduling\nManage day-to-day design schedules for Architects and Engineers of Record\nTrack design deliverables and ensure alignment with overall project schedules\nCoordinate with Document Control to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of design submissions\nSupport submission processes for AHJ approvals and ensure completeness of required documentation\nBIM & Design Standards Management\nManage and maintain company BIM standards and intellectual property\nOversee all current and archived BIM/Revit models\nDevelop and maintain company Revit templates and standards\nEnsure consistency and accuracy across all design models and documentation\nCross-Functional Coordination\nFacilitate communication between design, engineering, manufacturing, and project teams\nSupport Design Director in aligning workflows across departments\nEnsure timely and accurate flow of project information\nDesign Support & Visualization\nAssist in development of graphics and visual materials for client presentations\nSupport business development efforts by illustrating ModCorr design solutions\nHelp communicate technical concepts in a clear, client-friendly format\nQuality Assurance / Quality Control\nSupport implementation of QA/QC standards across all design deliverables\nReview drawings and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance\nIdentify and resolve design issues proactively\nTechnical Design Coordination\nCoordinate drawings, specifications, and submittals with project stakeholders\nEnsure design intent is maintained across all disciplines\nAssist in resolving technical design challenges using standardized components\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop practical and efficient design solutions using modular/detention components\nCoordinate design documentation with architects, engineers, and internal teams\nSupport collaboration and innovation across project teams\nMaintain BIM standards and documentation consistency\nEnsure project deadlines and deliverables are met\nParticipate in client meetings and presentations\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in:\nArchitecture\nEngineering\nInterior Design\nConstruction Management\n(Equivalent experience may be considered)\nExperience\n6+ years of experience in:\nArchitecture\nConstruction\nManufacturing or modular design\nExperience with commercial or institutional projects required\nDetention or secure facility experience preferred\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in:\nRevit (required)\nBluebeam\nMicrosoft 365\nPreferred experience with:\nProcore\nNewforma\nProject scheduling software\nLumion or rendering tools\nAdobe InDesign\nCore Competencies\nStrong technical design and problem-solving ability\nUnderstanding of BIM workflows and standards\nExcellent communication and coordination skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality\nInitiative and continuous improvement mindset\nCertifications (Preferred)\nProfessional licensure (or on track)\nLEED AP or similar certifications\n\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary and benefits package:\nSafe Harbor 401(k) Plan\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nCompany-paid disability and life insurance\nVoluntary life insurance\nPaid sick time\nPaid time off\nFitness Reimbursement\nEmployee Assistance Program\nAffirmative Action/EEO Statement\nModCorr LLC is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
