On a day-to-day basis, this person will lead project execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage client relationships across utility, renewable, and power delivery work.\r\nAs a Substation Project Manager, you will balance hands- on project leadership with client engagement and business development responsibilities, helping expand DEA's presence while ensuring successful delivery of substation, transmission, and related infrastructure projects.\r\nThis role is hybrid-moditive- or remote-friendly, with a preference for an individual who is based near one of our offices located in Portland, OR, Corvallis, OR, Bellingham, WA, Spokane, WA, Denver, CO, or Remote.\r\nWhat You'll Do\r\nLead project management and technical coordination for substation and power delivery projects\r\nDevelop project scopes, execution strategies, staffing plans, and budgets\r\nManage project delivery to meet schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction expectations\r\nProvide technical leadership and coordination for multidisciplinary teams including substation, transmission, and studies resources\r\nAccountable for project delivery outcomes including financial performance, forecasting, and contract management\r\nSupport and participate in business development efforts including client engagement, opportunity identification, and proposal development\r\nPrepare scopes of work, fee estimates, and support project pursuits\r\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships through consistent delivery and communication\r\nOversee and participate in QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables\r\nManage subcontractors and support consultants involved in project delivery\r\nCoordinate with practice and group leaders to align staffing with current workload and future commitments\r\nMentor and support the development of engineers, designers, and project staff\r\nWhat You Bring\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university\r\n8+ years of experience supporting substation, transmission, or power system projects\r\n3+ years of experience in a project management or engineering leadership role\r\nExperience leading or supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams\r\nExperience contributing to project delivery including scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination\r\nExperience working within a consulting or utility environment supporting infrastructure or power delivery projects\r\nStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skills\r\nAbility to manage competing priorities and support project execution across multiple efforts\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\r\nExperience leading complex or large-scaled infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams\r\nDemonstrated experience supporting or leading business development efforts, including client relationship management and pursuit support\r\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\r\nExperience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or design-build project delivery models\r\nExperience in utility-scale renewable energy or power delivery infrastructure projects\r\nUnderstanding of professional services contracting, risk management, and experience supporting contract negotiations\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nWe foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
