You will report to Director, Broadband System Integration. You will be required to work on key customer account(s) in North America time-zone.\r\nLocation\r\nRemote and occasional travel is required (up to 40%).\r\nWhat You Will Be Doing\r\nSupport activities for cOS client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials.\r\nDesign IP networking ecosystem with Harmonic cOS platform to support Customer Use Cases.\r\nCommunicate with marketing, engineering, and sales team about client expectations.\r\nResponsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering.\r\nExecute, and lead client field trials.\r\nTrain clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the cOS system.\r\nTrain field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of cOS system and any new features that are supported.\r\nAssist with deployments and technical support as needed.\r\nAssist with supporting customers in conjunction with Harmonic's 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required.\r\nInvestigate, diagnose and resolve Customer issues on-site in a timely manner and if needed, elevate problems for assistance.\r\nResolve equipment performance related issues within Harmonic equipment and in conjunction with Harmonic application partners, utilizing Harmonic's technical issue logging/escalation systems as appropriate.\r\nDevelop detailed customer installation and system integration plans, ensuring seamless implementation of solutions.\r\nAct as a key technical liaison on customer projects, ensuring that technical requirements are met and expectations are aligned.\r\nWhat You Should Have\r\nBachelor's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent.\r\n4+ years direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting.\r\nStrong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack is a \"must\".\r\nExperience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers is a \"must\".\r\nAbility to understand technical documentation including Software/Hardware Configuration Guides, schematics, work instructions, test procedures, etc.\r\nProblem-solving, analytical and communication skills.\r\nKnowledge of DOCSIS, CMTS configuration and troubleshooting is a \"must\".\r\nKnowledge of FTTX is a plus.\r\nExperience in pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations and feasibility analysis, is highly preferred.\r\nAbility to develop and present technical solutions to customers and internal teams.\r\nTravel\r\nOccasional travel to customer Lab or deployment site(s) for integration testing or investigation purpose.
