Are you ready to go beyond?We have an immediate need for a HSMC-S MCL Airfoil Cell Operator 2nd Shift (Monday Friday 3:30pm 12:00am).What You Will Do:Set up and operate simple machines or equipment; operate other grouped simple machines or equipment types to produce parts where methods and processes are well developed and proper tooling and fixtures are provided. Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer generated information and verbal instructions, obtain specified equipment, tools and gages to machine, for a variety of production parts (Turbine Airfoils).Perform bench assembly and finishing operations as assigned, using a variety of handheld tools, power tools and other equipment to process parts during various stages of manufacturing operations. Specifically part cut-ups, mounting, grinding, and polishing.Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions. Record results and enter information into computer data systems as required.Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as operator's check list for upkeep and to ensure equipment operates properly.Assist others who are responsible for new equipment or process tryout and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description.Refer problems to leader/supervisor as appropriate to resolve difficulties.May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual's skills.May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.Qualifications You Must Have:High School Diploma or Equivalent0-6 months' experience with machining methods.Qualifications we prefer:In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).1-2 years of quality manufacturing experience.1 year of technical or trade school training.This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
