Let's chat and see if we are a good match!\n\nOpportunity:\n\nVirtual Service Operations is searching for an experienced Mobile Application Developer to join our dynamic IT team in Ashburn, VA. This hybrid role requires candidates to work approximately 2 days per week on-site. This role requires a strong mix of communications skills and hands on technical troubleshooting to support application issues and application of preventative measures. In this hands-on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. The candidate should have expertise in Mobile App Development.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBS/BA degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 10 years of prior relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree\nAt least 5 years experience with Mobile Application Development, must have experience with both Android & iOS\nRequires experience in both Front-end Mobile and Back-end RESTFUL API development.\nRequires experience in development of JAVA, Node JS applications.\nRequires experience in both NoSQL and SQL database’s.\nMust have strong application testing discipline. Experience with Google’s Flutter engine and Google’s Dart language and similar Android/iOS framework.\nExcellent problem-solving skills.\nCreative thinker\nProficiency and knowledge of the following: Postgres, Springboot, SQL, Kafka, MySQL, Struts, Hibernate, Java, JSF, Swing, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular/React is desired.\nKnowledge of software design patterns.\nExperience with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., Jira)\nProficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExperience with DevOps frameworks\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nActive CBP BI\nExperience with CBP\nAWS Experience\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipeline\nWorked in Agile environment\nOther mobile framework\nRequirements:\nMust be able to work approximately 2 days per week on-site in Ashburn, VA\nPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.\nMust be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start\n\nWhat is Important to Us:\n\nYou are an excellent communicator in writing and speaking.\nYou have the ability to work independently but also value teamwork.\nYour problem-solving skills are excellent.\nYou are looking for a job where performance appraisals occur regularly, and you look forward to advancing your career.\nYou seek a community of virtue-centered co-workers and clients.\n\nWhat we offer you:\n\nAs part of the VSO company, you will be part of a virtue-centered team who value their work and teammates.
