Monitor Tech/Unit Clerk (Med/Surg) - Fulltime

Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred and at least 1 year of experience in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Experience Required Prefer experience as a monitor tech, reading cardiac rhythms . Some medical field experience necessary. Education Required High School or better Licenses & Certifications Required C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac Behaviors Preferred Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Functional Expert: Considered a thought leader on a subject Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
