This is an excellent opportunity for a college student, recent college graduate, or early-career professional interested in technology, education, mentoring, or STEM.What You'll DoCoach and mentor children ages 5–14 using the Code Ninjas curriculumHelp students develop problem-solving, logic, and critical-thinking skillsGuide students toward solutions rather than simply giving them answersCreate a fun, positive, and safe learning environmentCommunicate with parents and build positive relationships with students and familiesAssist with camps, workshops, and special eventsHelp maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming centerWhat We're Looking ForPatient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoys working with childrenStrong communication skills and the ability to connect with kidsDependable, energetic, positive, and adaptableComfortable working independently and as part of a teamInterested in technology, coding, gaming, engineering, or STEMTeaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, or camp experience is a plusTechnical ExperienceJavaScript and C# are the primary programming languages used in our curriculum, so basic experience with either language is highly recommended. Experience with the UNITY development environment is also preferred.Training will be provided on our proprietary curriculum, including how to teach JavaScript and C# within our program.Experience with any of the following is a plus: o Scratch, Lua, Python, Minecraft, Roblox Studio, game development, or other coding/technology platforms. Teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, camp counseling, or working with children is also a plus.Schedule & AvailabilityThis is a part-time, on-site position at our Code Ninjas El Segundo center, with additional opportunities during camps and special events.Regular Center HoursMonday, Wednesday–Friday: 3:00 PM–6:00 PMSaturday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PMYou will:Coach students ages 5–14 during regular center hoursSupport camps, workshops, special events, and other center activitiesHelp create a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environmentAdditional HoursAdditional hours may be available for:Summer, spring, winter, and school-break campsSpecial workshops and eventsCommunity outreach and Code Ninjas eventsSchedule flexibility is important, particularly for candidates available during after-school hours and Saturdays.LocationCode Ninjas El Segundo – El Segundo, CA 90245This is an on-site position.
