Arizona Fall League - Team Dietician
The Arizona Fall League is seeking two registered dietitians to assist in the oversight and execution of team meals and nutritional needs. Each position oversees three of the six Arizona Fall League teams. Individual interacts with stakeholders connected to the Arizona Fall League, including but not limited to: caterers, stadium staff, field staff, MLB affiliate clubs and staff of the Commissioner's office. This role will start in mid-September in the Phoenix metro area through the end of the AFL season on November 15. One dietician will oversee the three teams in the west valley and the other will oversee the three teams in the east valley.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with AFL Leadership and affiliates on forming and executing the nutrition vision and strategyPrimary liaison with team caterers to ensure quality and execution to industry standardsProvide specific support with respect to food, menus, and recovery nutrition during AFL seasonOversee nutrition budget forecasting and tracking for assigned teamsPerform other duties/tasks as assignedFacilitates adherence to all health and safety protocols including compliance with MLB/PA policies on dietary supplement and functional food useQualifications & SkillsMaster's level degree or higherBilingual (English & Spanish) candidates preferredRegistered DietitianExperience in a similar role with a MLB organization or professional sport leagueStrong written and oral communication skillsMust work well independently and collaborativelyExcellent prioritization and time management skillsStrong understanding of industryAvailability to work nights and weekendsExperience in leadership roles with a strategic approach and budget managementTiming & CompensationPosition begins in mid-September and runs through mid-NovemberCompensation includes:Bi-weekly stipendTravel/housing allowance for out of state hires* Hires are responsible for securing housing and transportationStipend: $1,700.00 Bi-weeklyWhy MLB?Major League Baseball (MLB) is the most historic of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada.
