The position is fast paced and requires quick innovation and a demanding schedule with multiple products being launched simultaneously.\nJob Responsibilities\nResearch & Development of New Items:\nLead the research, development, and optimization of new cosmetic formulations across various product categories (e.g., skincare, haircare, makeup, body care).\nConduct in-depth literature reviews and market research to identify emerging trends, novel ingredients, and innovative technologies.\nTranslate consumer insights and marketing briefs into technically feasible and commercially viable product concepts.\nStay abreast of industry advancements, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform product development strategies.\nFormulation Development:\nOversee new product development lifecycle from product discovery through plant trial\nDesign, develop, and refine innovative and stable cosmetic formulations from scratch, adhering to product specifications, target costs, and timelines,\nConduct extensive lab work, including compounding batches, preparing samples, and performing stability testing.\nOptimize existing formulations for improved performance, cost-efficiency, or ingredient profile.\nTroubleshoot formulation issues, such as stability problems, compatibility issues, or performance deficiencies.\nRaw Material Evaluation:\nProactively identify, research, and evaluate new raw materials, active ingredients, and innovative delivery systems for cosmetic applications.\nConduct initial reviews and assessments of new materials for suitability, safety, and potential benefits.\nSpecification Development & Management:\nDevelop comprehensive raw material specifications (RMS) and finished product specifications (FPS) for new and existing products.\nReview and evaluate current specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nWork closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure all specifications meet internal and external standards.\nDevelop and manage component specifications, design, and testing procedures.
