All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.\n\nThe right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelopment of Virtualized Packages for Mission Baseline Applications.\n\nApplications will be consumed both by VDI sessions and thick clients.\nApplications include those with plugins and advanced graphics requirements.\nWorks with application testers and mission SME's to validate mission application behavior.\nIncorporates any required sequencing changes into the app sequencing process.\nIdentifies facets of user application settings (registry, AppData, etc.) that need to be persisted across sessions in a non-persistent VDI environment.\nIdentifies automation opportunities for application sequencing and works with the engineering team to streamline the sequencing process for mission applications, once established.\nAssists the virtualization team and VDI team with application delivery infrastructure configuration, as needed.\nImproves backup/Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations.\nArticulates knowledge, discoveries, designs, etc. rapidly and concisely in written detailed designs, tests plans and test cases, implementation plans, operational guides, and training guides under project management time and cost-constrained deadlines.\nPerforms work without appreciable direction and exercises considerable latitude in the determination of technical objectives of assignments.\nWorks with VMware software defined data center products and tools for troubleshooting and performance tuning.\nAnalyzes, tests, and applies regular security patches and software update as required.\nCreates and maintains technical documentation and provide training to other team members.\nIncident resolution and fulfillment of software requests.\nPerforms all other work as assigned.\nQualifications:\n\nClearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.\n\nDegree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience with Systems Administration/Virtualization. (Additional Education, Training, Certifications or Work Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience).\n\n3+ years of experience with VDI technologies, including VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.\n2+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp or comparable application virtualization technology (Microsoft App-V, FlexApp, App Volumes, etc).\n\nRequired Certifications:\n\n8140.01M IAT Level II certification.\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nIn-depth and up-to-date knowledge of Virtualization products and capabilities.\nAbility to analyze and apply virtualization product capabilities to changing program requirements.\nGood work ethic and active desire to learn.\nSkillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nDesired Skills:\n\nExperience with Windows Desktop (10/11) and Server (2012+) Operating Systems.\n\nUtilize scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks and manage deployments.\n\nExperience with non-persistent desktop environments.\n\nExperience with profile management solutions such as VMware DEM or Liquidware Labs' Profile-Unity.\n\nFamiliarity with ActiveDirectory, specifically Group Policy.\n\nUnderstanding of load-balancing application delivery services.\n\nUnderstand principles of ITIL.\n\nAble to create architectural design documents and presentations.\n\nAble to test and apply hardware and software updates.\n\nUnderstand architectural frameworks such as TOGAF.\n\nVirtualization compute environment certification, i.e. VMware Certified Associate for Data Center Virtualization (VCA-DCV).\n\nFamiliarity with ticketing systems (Service+, ServiceNow, Remedy, etc).\n\nAbout Abile Group, Inc.:\n\nAbile Group, founded in July 2004 to support the Intelligence Community and its contractors across Enterprise Analytics, IT & Systems Engineering, and Program & Project Management, merged with Valiant Solutions in January 2026 - an established provider of cybersecurity technologies and services for Federal Agencies since 2005.
