Assembly PositionIf you like hands-on work, clear instructions, and a laid-back environment, this 2nd shift assembly role offers consistent hours, great training, and real potential to go full-time. This is an associate to hire role in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assemble electronic and mechanical cable components based on written instructions, drawings, and wiring diagrams
Use semi-automatic and manual crimping tools to terminate cables and wires
Operate various hand and power tools as required for the assembly process, including seam rippers for removing tags, safety-guarded box cutters for opening boxes, and scissors for cutting wires
Ensure all work meets quality and productivity standards
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Assembly Requirements:
Proficient in verbal and written communication
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams
Able to read a tape measure to 1/8 of an inch accurately
Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
Lift up to 30 pounds as needed
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
