Accounting Generalist
Job OpportunityWe are excited to add a new position to support our growing team and expanding operations. We are looking for an energetic, positive, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is willing to contribute wherever needed. This provides additional support across multiple corporate entities, divisions, and departments.This position will assist with a variety of office and accounting functions, including but not limited to customer relations and sales support, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and material management. The ideal candidate will have prior office and accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and collaborate with multiple departments.Essential FunctionsPerform day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger supportProcess vendor invoices, verify approvals, and prepare payments in a timely mannerGenerate customer invoices, apply payments, and monitor outstanding accounts receivable balancesReconcile credit card statements and other accounts as necessaryPrepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial recordsSupport the month-end and year-end closing processesMaintain and organize accounting files, records, and support documentationAssist with account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial dataRespond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepanciesPrepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial data for management reviewAssist with budgeting, audits, and other financial reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and regulatory requirementsWork collaboratively with other departments to resolve accounting and billing issuesMaintain confidentiality of financial and employee informationPerform general administrative and office support duties as assignedQualifications To Perform Essential FunctionsAssociate's degree or higher in accounting preferredBasic analytical business math skillsExcellent verbal and written communication1-2 years office and customer service experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and WordPreferred ERP accounting software experienceAbility to organize, adapt, and work in a team environmentExcellent time management skillsDemonstrate high motivation as a self starter who can work independently to manage workloadProactively identify opportunities for improvementDemonstrate proper phone etiquette; use multi-line phone system.Total RewardsWe understand the value of our team members and how each plays a vital role in CDA Paving and Concrete Specialties' day-to-day success.
