We operate multiple branch locations across the region and are known for reliable service, quality products, and a team-focused work environmentPosition Purpose:This position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of customer orders while supporting warehouse operations during daytime hours. The role supports efficient branch operations and helps maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a part-time, daytime position based at our Torrington, CT branch, located at 790 Main Street. The scheduled hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.Essential Functions:Delivery & Driving ResponsibilitiesDeliver a wide variety of items to customers on local routesFollow assigned routes and time schedulesLoad, unload, prepare, inspect, and safely operate a delivery vehicleSpend the majority of work hours seated while drivingComplete required delivery logs and reportsFollow DOT regulations and company safety standardsInteract with customers on a daily basis in a professional mannerWarehouse & Order HandlingSeparate transfers and load them onto respective trucksDetermine appropriate shipping methods according to company policyLocate transfers to complete orders and place them on corresponding trucksEnsure products and orders are placed on the correct trucks for deliveryReceive inbound shipments and verify product accuracy against packing slipsInspect deliveries to ensure products are not damagedProcess returns or replacements for unsatisfactory shipmentsLabel deliveries and allocate products to designated storage locationsPut product away into correct locations using a barcode readerEquipment & Physical RequirementsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as neededAbility to lift and move product during deliveries and warehouse operations, with equipment assistanceWork in a variety of weather and traffic conditionsGeneral ResponsibilitiesUse basic computer and math skills to determine locations and quantitiesRead and interpret packing slips, computer screens, and barcode readersManage time effectively to complete daily workloadPractice teamwork to best service internal and external customersAssist warehouse personnel as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and professional work environmentRemain current on safety practices and standardsPerform other duties as requiredCompensation and Benefits:Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.Eligible to participate in the company's comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Paid time off and paid holidays.Opportunities for professional development and growth.Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Requirements:Experience, Education & Skills:Warehouse experience preferredValid driver's license (Non-CDL) and DOT medical card requiredAbility to safely operate a motor vehicleExperience using forklifts, pallet jacks, barcode readers, and related equipment preferredBasic ability to use computers and standard warehouse systemsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
