Machine Design Engineer

Position OverviewThe Machine Design Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects while also applying mechanical design expertise to develop, validate, and implement solutions. This role requires a combination of program leadership and technical design capabilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in machine design and mechanical engineering.2-year degree in a related field or comparable hands-on experience.Solid experience with large-scale hydraulics and press systems.Proficiency in CAD software and SolidWorks.Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.Oversee program management and supervision of assigned projects.Source vendors and develop Requests for Quotations (RFQs).Collaborate with the engineering team on hydraulic and electrical design solutions.Assist with troubleshooting and provide technical support to customers.Diagnose issues and offer repair recommendations.Identify components for repair and ensure they meet manufacturer specifications.Inspect parts to determine reusability and perform necessary rework.Install and adjust hydraulic components, such as large cylinders and pumps.Perform equipment start-ups and set hydraulic pressures and reliefs.Always ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.Provide professional interaction with customers and vendors.
