Respiratory Care Practitioner - Variable Shift - Core

Spokane, WashingtonFull TimeThe Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients across various care settings. This role involves collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.The practitioner will operate advanced respiratory equipment, provide critical care support, and contribute to a patient-centered healthcare environment focused on safety, quality, and compassion.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical SupportAssess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions Administer oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments Assist physicians in developing and implementing care plans Perform patient assessments and diagnostic procedures Advanced Respiratory CareOperate and maintain ventilators and life-support systems Manage airway care, resuscitation, and emergency interventions Monitor patient response and adjust treatments accordingly Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in patient care planning and clinical discussions Support continuity of care across departments Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols Complete required orientation and training programs Required QualificationsEducation meeting certification/licensure requirements Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License (required at hire) BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and equipment Preferred QualificationsExperience in acute care or hospital respiratory therapy settings Familiarity with ventilatory support systems and critical care equipment Core CompetenciesStrong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork Ability to work in fast-paced environments Patient-centered care approach Work EnvironmentHospital-based Respiratory Therapy Department Exposure to critical care and emergency situations Requires flexibility for variable shiftsRecruiter Submission Template -Full Name:Degree / Certification with Institution and Completion Year:Respiratory Care Practitioner License (State & Status):BLS Certification (AHA): (Yes/No)Total Years of Experience in Respiratory Therapy:Experience in Acute Care / Hospital Setting: (Yes/No - Details)Experience with Ventilators & Life-Support Systems: (Yes/No)Experience in Critical Care / ICU Environment: (Yes/No)Is the candidate comfortable working variable shifts?
