Join us and be part of a team that’s redefining what’s possible in fluid technology.\nJob Overview The Production Supervisor (2nd shift, 2:00pm – 10:30pm) is within our Auto/Car Care/Prestone division and is responsible for ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards while maintaining a safe work environment. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility.\nYour Role at Prestone Overseeing the production process, drafting a production schedule and ensuring that it is adhered to.\nDeveloping and implementing production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production objectives.\nMonitoring production processes to ensure that they are operating safely and efficiently, and identifying areas for improvement.\nCoordinating and assigning tasks to production staff, and ensuring that all staff members receive appropriate training to perform routine duties effectively.\nMonitor production to resolve issues and ensure targets are met.\nOversee training of new employees on production processes and equipment operation.\nEnforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.\nCollaborate with other departments to optimize production processes.\nRequired Experience and Skills Strong leadership and decision‑making skills with the ability to effectively motivate and guide a team.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to remain calm under pressure and stay focused on task completion.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.\nEffective planning and manning skills while paying attention to detail.\nFamiliarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.\nCompliance with customer specifications and safety procedures.\nAdhering to and following production schedules for efficient operations.\nQualifications High School Diploma or equivalent GED.\nAssociate/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required.\n5+ years manufacturing experience.\nProven experience working in a production environment with a minimum of 3 years as a production supervisor.\nProven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.\nExcellent problem‑solving abilities.\nKnowledge of quality control principles.\nUnderstanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment, work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.\nExperience with integrated/computerized manufacturing systems. JDE SAP experience is preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft applications with a strong understanding of Excel.\nPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions The production facility is within an indoor/outdoor, industrial environment and is not climate controlled. Must be able to perform some physical exertion as necessary.
