Must be able to troubleshoot issues using Diagnostic Tools and Perform the most economical repairs in a safe and timely manner. The candidate must have the ability to perform preventative maintenance routine and job site on demand equipment down issues and on-site repairs as scheduled by the Solar Equipment Coordinator / Fleet Equipment Manager. Perform key responsibility area’s and effectively communicate and coordinate with Asset Management Team members, jobsites, and vendors.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerform regular routine preventative maintenance service on Construction Equipment\n\nRespond to service call requests immediately and perform repairs or maintenance as coordinated and scheduled with the Equipment Coordinator / Equipment Manager\n\nCommunicate and trouble-shoot service issues with the Equipment Coordinator / Equipment Manager and collaborate with outsourced service vendors to solve service issues\n\nFollow standard routine review of services performed and take responsibility for completing work orders and using maintenance software confirm equipment is safe, operable and in jobsite ready condition\n\nMust have welding and burning ability\n\nComplete electronic work orders and turn in daily\n\nWork in a safe manner to protect themselves, co-workers, equipment and surrounding property per the Moss Safety Guidelines and Policy\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE\n\nMinimum Associates Degree in a Heavy Equipment Program\n\nMinimum 5 Years Construction Industry Experience\n\nMaintain DOT physical for driving a commercial service truck. CDL preferred but not required.\n\nKnowledge of equipment hydraulic systems\n\nAbility to work on hydraulic and air braking systems\n\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical issues\n\nBasic understanding and diagnostic ability of diesel engines\n\nHydraulic trouble shooting and repairs a must.\n\nCertifications or specific training on the following:\n\nSafety\n\nBrakes (Hydraulic and Air)\n\nEngine (Gas and Diesel)\n\nTransmissions\n\nTroubleshooting\n\nSuspension Systems\n\nBasic computer skills.) i.e., outlook, word excel)\n\nAbility to travel to job sites (FL, GA and/or AR) and overnight stays depending on current residency\n\nAbility to work in outside conditions\n\nSelf-starter and able to work independently with little to no supervision\n\nMust be able to prioritize your workload and daily activities\n\nThis position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures.
