Project Specialist

Job Summary : Project Specialist - Tallahassee, Florida Serve as Project Management Specialist/Liaison (PML) for the Florida Department of Commerce, supporting the transition to the Florida PALM Project. Provide project management expertise for large-scale or agency-wide initiatives, ensuring adherence to established methodologies. Support the Commerce Liaison (CL) and Change Champion Network (CCN) by tracking and monitoring readiness activities and workplan tasks. Develop, maintain, and manage internal workplans to align with the project's timeline and readiness milestones. Communicate status updates and progress reports to the CCN and relevant stakeholders. Act as a dedicated resource for the Florida PALM Project transition, assisting with all related tasks and duties. Interface with the Florida PALM Project team to help the Commerce team understand and meet key milestones. Utilize knowledge of the Florida PALM implementation timeline and Readiness Workplan to effectively manage project activities. Leverage experience in managing teams, customer service, and production project management across multi-platform environments. PMP certification preferred, but not required; relevant experience in IT and business project management essential.
