Parts Associate

PARTS ASSOCIATE Well established, family-owned and operated, Material Handling dealership, looking for a Parts Associate to join our team. This fast-paced full-time position is based out of our Wenatchee, Washington headquarters. We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work and will play a key support role for the best customers in the state of Washington. POSITION SUMMARY The individuals applying for this position will have a strong desire to develop, work hard and be part of a great team. This individual will perform a variety of customer service, marketing, promoting, and stocking duties related to the parts sales, receiving and delivery of parts that contribute to the efficient, safe and profitable operation of the parts department. They will assist both internal and external customers in properly identifying needed items, using all available resources. They will merchandise, invoice, and make any necessary entries to the inventory control system based on company guidelines. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATIONS Required: Maintains a great attitude towards continuously improving & enjoys being part of a team Excellent Multi-tasking and time management skills is a must! Parts training and/or Material Handling industry experience Strong organizational skills Understanding of mechanical and technical terms Knowledge of parts operating systems strongly desired Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Military experience a bonus Education: High school or equivalent. Any 2-year or 4-year college or equivalent degrees a bonus Ability to pass a Washington state background check and Motor Vehicle Record check required Responsibilities: Receive, ship, and store parts as needed in accordance with DOT local, state, and federal guidelines. Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner. Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information. Record all sales (including lost sales) and/or customer transactions Assist in maintaining the retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealerships standards and ensure customer satisfaction. Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and or reporting discrepancies. Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system and assist with cycle count duties. Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook. Assist in keeping parts department clean and professional. Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service. Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner. Proactively manage the location, availability, shipping, receiving and branch transfers of our extensive Parts Inventory. Fully support the administration of all things “Parts” including, but not limited to: documenting, tracking, filing, organizing and other department administrative functions as needed. Actively seeks out at out administrative tasks, functions, and responsibilities with little to no direct supervision. “Develop & Build up” a Parts professional skill set and experience required to be highly successful overtime.
