That's why we're always looking ahead, and not just to the next project or what's next in our industry.\n\nWe are currently accepting applications for our Duroc Data Center Project in Abilene, Texas!\n\nPosition Hiring : Carpenter Apprentice (trade level varies)\n\nPay Rate : $21.45 - $33.00 (based on experience)\n\nIncentive Rate: $10.00 (will be combined with base rate)\n\nPer Diem (if eligible) : $178.00 per day worked\n\nWork Schedule: 5x10’s (subject to change)\n\nOther Incentives:\n\nHealth Benefits\n\n401(k)\n\nEmployee Assistance Program\n\nOpportunity to advance with Company\n\nbecome PCL Certified and earn vacation time, mileage pay from project to project and increased wages\nget NCCER certified within craft trade while working at PCL (applies to specific craft trade)\nhelpers enroll in Apprenticeship program and advance in craft trade\n\nJob Responsibilities :\n\n• Studies blueprint, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.\n\n• Selects type and size of related materials according to the job specifications.\n\n• Prepares layout, using rule, framing square, and calipers.\n\n• Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, or marking gauge.\n\n• Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and planes.\n\n• Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.\n\n• Ensure proper permits have been obtained and can read & understand all permits.\n\n• Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and work sequence.\n\n• Coordinate work with other crafts, co-workers, and other contractors on the job.\n\n• Safely use Hand & Power Tools.\n\n• Unload materials, inspect item as directed by the Journeyman, and to assist in the maintenance of the laydown areas and project work areas.\n\n• Perform quality work as determined by your supervisor and project specifications.\n\n• Help immediate supervisor with future tasks planning.\n\n• Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job.\n\nSite Access Requiremen ts:\n\nPre-employment Drug and Alcohol test\nMust have 0 to 48+ verifiable work experience within craft level\n\nShould you require an accommodation during the application process, please contact us at DPRecruiting@pcl.com with the position and location you are interested in.
