The company services municipal contracts with some of the largest and fastest growing cities in the U.S. including New York City, Austin, San Antonio, and Phoenix.\n\nAbout the Role:\nThe plant Maintenance Assistant works under the Lead Mechanic position and performs limited preventive maintenance assignments, completes minor repairs, and assists in major repairs.\nResponsibilities:\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nPerforms repairs in accordance with Circular Services conforming to all safety and OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements.\nPerforms minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Ensures all plant equipment is functioning properly.\nAssist senior Mechanics in the adjustments, repair, or replacement of all fixed and rolling stock equipment including but not limited to balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, and bearings.\nPerforms other maintenance and project related work as required.\nMaintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.\nRequires a flexible work schedule, which may include overtime and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility.\nMinimum Job Qualifications:\nHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment\nAble to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping\nAble to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner\nAble to maintain a clean & safe environment\nAble to enter information into computer database programs\nOther Duties:\nAll job requirements in this job description provided indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities deemed necessary to perform the job competently.
