The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting, and reporting, with specific expertise in the residential development sector. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and success of our projects and overall business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management and Reporting:Oversee all aspects of financial management for residential development projectsPrepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsDevelop and maintain budgets for individual projects and the overall companyImplement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and complianceProvide regular financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholdersManage the month-end and year-end close processesProject Financial Planning and Analysis:Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed financial plans for each residential development projectConduct feasibility studies and financial modeling for potential new projectsMonitor project costs and revenues, identifying variances and recommending corrective actionsAnalyze project profitability and return on investmentProvide financial guidance and support throughout the project lifecycleCash Flow Management:Manage cash flow for individual projects and the overall companyDevelop and maintain cash flow forecastsOptimize working capital and ensure adequate liquidityManage relationships with banks and other financial institutionsRisk Management:Identify and assess financial risks associated with residential development projectsDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategiesMonitor and report on key risk indicatorsEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standardsTax Planning and Compliance:Oversee tax planning and compliance for the company and individual projectsCollaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategiesEnsure timely filing of all required tax returns and paymentsStay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the residential development industryFinancial Systems and Process Improvement:Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracyDevelop and maintain financial policies and proceduresContinuously improve financial processes and controlsTrain and mentor finance team members on best practices and industry standardsStakeholder Communication:Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders
