Brycon is hiring motivated, detailed, and safety-orientated Project Engineer to work with our general contracting team in Reno, NV.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectivesStudy product design, customer requirements, and performance standards to determine project specifications and present cost estimatesReview contractor bidsThrough project coordination meetings and other forms of communication, oversee and coordinate the technical aspects of the projectPrepare status reports and regularly monitor schedulesMaintain an accurate record of all elements of the project via an electronic databaseMonitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specificationsInteract daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirementsRead drawings and prepare take-offsPrepare, submit, and track RFIs and submittalsGenerate and track all change ordersTrack and log all drawingsCollaborate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other project participants to ensure project successInform safety managers, superintendents, and/or appropriate supervisors of any safety violations and/or injuries immediatelyEstablish annual continuing education goals to improve performance and proficiency in construction project managementCollect closeout documentation and prepare turnover O&M manuals to OwnerOther Duties as assignedEmployee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays.
