{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f625c272adb56a6dee277cf7","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f625c272adb56a6dee277cf7","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f625c272adb56a6dee277cf7","title":"Process Controls Engineer","description":"Description\n\nWeyerhaeuser is searching for a Process Controls Engineer to support our lumber facility in Dodson, Louisiana.\n\nKey Functions\n\nDevelop and define intermediate to advance control system applications for various machinery and equipment using technologies or platforms including ladder logic programming for programmable logic controllers (PLCs)\n\nPerform quality assurance on existing manufacturing processes\n\nIdentify areas that need process control optimization\n\n Implement preventive and predictive maintenance methods and systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and utilize reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure production volume, quality and overall uptime goals are met\n\nAssist in project planning\n\nEnsure efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are met\n\nEnsure effective use of training resources to maximize team technical skills\n\nUse computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related technical discipline.\n\n3-5 years' experience in PLC programming and Process Control\n\nProven experience in HMI Programming\n\nExperience working in an industrial manufacturing environment\n\nWork related experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives\n\nDesire and ability to manage projects\n\nHigh level of proficiency with PLC troubleshooting\n\nAbility to program and troubleshoot AC or DC power inverters/frequency drives\n\nFamiliarity with preventative and predictive maintenance systems and techniques\n\nAbility to read and understand electrical power and control system schematics\n\nAbility to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence\n\nExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills\n\nStrong planning and organizational skills\n\nStrong work ethic, good judgement and decision-making skills\n\nDemonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, other Windows-based programs and internet skills\n\nMust be able to accept calls during non-business hours as needed\n\nMust be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, when necessary\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with RPM HOTT Prosaw Systems Gang Saw\n\nAbout Weyerhaeuser\nWe sustainably manage forests and manufacture products that make the world a better place.
