As a member of the Platform engineering team, the successful candidate will work on emerging technologies to enhance ProviderTrust's existing products and to develop innovative products and solutions.\r\nSuggested Skills and Experience Ability to optimize database performance\r\nExperience with AWS RDS, Aurora and PostgreSQL\r\nExperience with blue/green deployments for database changes and upgrades\r\nExperience with backup and recovery strategies using AWS Backup\r\nExperience with logging and monitoring systems (Splunk, AWS CloudWatch)\r\nExperience with Terraform creating databases and configuration.\r\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (experience with GitHub Actions preferred)\r\nReview access management (e.g. role based permissions)\r\nAbility to assess security aspects of database (i.e. auditing, access)\r\nThe ability to work efficiently and lead yourself in a fluid environment\r\nStrong interest in new technologies\r\nDemonstrate a strong passion for success as well as strong work ethic\r\nDuties and Responsibilities Optimize Database Performance: Proactively identify and implement performance enhancements, driving continuous improvement without the need for direct assignments.\r\nIssue Ownership: Take full responsibility for database-related challenges, ensuring prompt resolution and thorough documentation of solutions.\r\nDatabase Infrastructure Development: Design and enhance database infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency that align with platform requirements.\r\nSecurity Management: Monitor and enforce best practices for database security, conducting regular audits and proactively addressing vulnerabilities.\r\nCollaboration for Performance: Partner with engineering teams to boost database query performance by providing actionable insights and recommendations.\r\nSLA Compliance and Uptime: Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high database uptime, accurately fulfilling requests within established timelines.\r\nBenefits Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office\r\n16-week paid primary caregiver with a 2-week phase-back leave policy\r\n4-week paid secondary caregiver leave policy\r\nCompetitive base salary and incentive package with 401k matching, HSA employer contribution, and company-paid life and disability insurance\r\nMedical, dental, and vision benefits: PT pays 80% of your premiums.
