Senior Director of Major Gifts

Principal Responsibilities:The Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center Manhattan is looking for a seasoned fundraising professional to serve as Senior Director of Major Gifts. This role is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of individual donors, advancing major gift fundraising, and strengthening donor engagement in partnership with colleagues across the organization.Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director of Major Gifts plays a key role in executing individual giving strategies, supporting institutional fundraising priorities, and cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and prospects. This position is well-suited for a collaborative, detail-oriented fundraiser who enjoys hands-on donor work and thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.The Development Team values collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning, and is in an exciting period of growth and evolution.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage and grow a portfolio of major gift donors and prospectsDevelop and implement individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategiesSolicit and close gifts of $25,000 and more, with opportunities to partner on larger solicitationsServe as a senior fundraising partner for the JCC's signature fundraising events, with a focus on donor engagement, solicitation, and follow-upCollaborate with program, engagement, and marketing colleagues to align donor interests with institutional prioritiesMaintain accurate and timely donor records, moves management, and reporting in the CRM (Daxko)Represent the Development team in cross-departmental meetings and internal initiatives as neededSupport a culture of relationship-centered fundraising, collaboration, and shared responsibility across the Development teamPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
